Hamilton Ross Solicitors is a firm in Lanarkshire carrying out a range of work such as family law, compensation claims, wills, powers of attorney, guardianship and civil court work. We are able to act either privately or on the basis of legal aid in appropriate cases. We are currently looking to recruit someone on a temporary, part-time basis to work in our Airdrie office. The job would involve a range of legal administrative tasks within the office such as filing, data entry, typing, etc. It would also involve preparing legal aid accounts and dealing with legal aid administration more generally. The successful candidate will gain experience in the administration of files across the range of the work carried out by the firm and will also have the opportunity to become familiar with the software systems used within the firm.
The successful applicant should be personable and able to work as part of a small team. They should also be self-motivated, hard-working and aiming to pursue a career in the legal profession. Ideally they should also be undertaking, or have recently completed, the Diploma in Legal Practice. It would be particularly suited to someone who has yet to secure a traineeship and who wishes to gain experience within a legal environment.
